New Year’s Eve is on the horizon, and I’m already in a “New Year, New Me” state of mind. I’m ready to throw out all the grains and sugars and start afresh, but we have a NYE party to attend where there will be finger foods and cocktails while we ring in the new year. Now, I don’t want to go crazy with my diet right before the end of the year because I know I’ll just have to work it off eventually, but I still want to partake in the festivities. This Non-Alcoholic & Whole30 Pomegranate Lime Sparkler is the perfect solution for my cocktail party conundrum.
My wonderful husband bought me a SodaStream for Christmas because I go through enough sparkling water to keep both Perrier and San Pellegrino in business. I couldn’t be happier with it. It’s so easy to use, + it’s helping me meet my health goals because I love sipping on sparkling water, flavored or not. The carbonation actually helps fill you up more than still water, and it makes me feel kind of fancy too. 🙂 I made my own sparkling water for the recipe, but you can certainly buy Perrier, San Pellegrino or regular ole club soda.
I used fresh pomegranate and lime juices in this recipe. Again, you can buy pre-made pomegranate juice if you don’t want to make your own juice. However, I would recommend juicing your own limes because none of the packaged lime juices compare to the freshly-squeezed stuff. I use this simple hand juicer to make quick work of lemons and limes.
Non-Alcoholic & Whole30 Pomegranate Lime Sparkler
Ingredients
- 3 c. sparkling water
- 4 tbsp. pomegranate juice
- Juice of 2 limes
- Lime slices optional
- Pomegranate arils optional
Instructions
- Pour the sparkling water in a pitcher or carafe.
- Add the pomegranate and lime juice.
- Consider adding lime slices or pomegranate arils for garnish.
- Enjoy!
