So I know there are about a thousand different iced coffee recipes on Pinterest. We don’t need another one, right? But I posted a picture of my yummy Paleo and Whole30 Iced Coffee on Instagram this weekend and several people asked me for my recipe, so here it is.
The collagen peptides give my morning coffee a little more substance with 10 grams of protein. They’re completely tasteless and odorless too. The Brain Octane Oil is like refined coconut oil. It helps you get into ketosis faster and doesn’t harden when you add it to the cold coffee.
I use a milk frother to blend everything so I can do it right in the glass and not dirty up my blender. I use it almost daily and it comes in a cute little travel capsule. A blender will work fine too if you don’t have one.
Although the ingredients are Whole30-compliant, I wouldn’t recommend substituting this Paleo and Whole30 Iced Coffee in place of a normal breakfast if you’re doing a Whole30. The program rules are pretty strict around what’s acceptable for breakfast, and drinking your most important meal of the day is frowned upon.

I love this Paleo and Whole30 Iced Coffee soooooo much because it really helps me get going in the morning, and not just because of the caffeine. It has a little fat and a little protein too. I whip up my iced coffee and then have my actual breakfast an hour or two later when I’m not so rushed. If you have some extra time, top it off with some whipped coconut cream. <3

I’ve gotten a lot of questions about what foods are Whole30-compliant and why some aren’t. I’m so happy to help, but I would definitely recommend reading the Whole30 books if you haven’t already. Knowledge really is power, especially when you’re just trying to make it through the work day and that 3pm chocolate bar craving hits. You’ll know why you’re feeling the way you are and what you can do to squash it.
If you’re like me, a busy working mom with too much to do to sit down and stop everything to read a book, you should definitely check out Amazon’s Audible program. That’s how I found time to read It Starts With Food, by having it read to me. I love, love Audible. I just recently purchased Food Freedom Forever with one of my monthly credits, and it’s another winner so far. I listen to it in the car to and from work and also while I’m cooking and doing chores.
