Breakfast used to be my favorite meal of the day. It was so easy for me to whip up a bunch of scrambled eggs, a batch of Homemade Paleo and Whole30 Breakfast Sausage and some sliced avocado and tomato and call it a meal.
Then I discovered I couldn’t tolerate eggs any more and things changed. It’s so hard for me to get excited about breakfast and brunch and breakfast for dinner when I can’t have eggs.
Most mornings I’m fine with Paleo and Whole30 Bacon Chips dipped in guacamole or keto coffee or leftover Paleo and Whole30 Sloppy Joes piled onto a big sweet potato. But every now and then I just want something that resembles good ol’ breakfast food. A bowl of cereal to be more specific.
I’m not calling these Paleo Breakfast Bowls Whole30-compliant even though the ingredients are, separately, all Whole30-approved. When you start combining all these ingredients and calling them cereal, you get into SWYPO territory.
For more info on SWYPO and eating fruits (it’s a no-no) for breakfast, read these official Whole30 resources:

I’ve gotten a lot of questions about what foods are Whole30-compliant and why some aren’t. I’m so happy to help, but I would definitely recommend reading the Whole30 books if you haven’t already. Knowledge really is power, especially when you’re just trying to make it through the work day and that 3pm chocolate bar craving hits. You’ll know why you’re feeling the way you are and what you can do to squash it.
If you’re like me, a busy working mom with too much to do to sit down and stop everything to read a book, you should definitely check out Amazon’s Audible program. That’s how I found time to read It Starts With Food, by having it read to me. I love, love Audible. I just recently purchased Food Freedom Forever with one of my monthly credits, and it’s another winner so far. I listen to it in the car to and from work and also while I’m cooking and doing chores.
